Stop & Start

Our BMW ghost immobiliser is an innovative next-generation device that does not require cutting OEM wires or installing an aftermarket alarms and key fobs. It is connected to the BMW CAN data network, and is programmed with an unique PIN code that can be accessed by buttons in your car. This allows you to enter key sequences that are not accessible through the standard media menus. For instance, volume up/down or source cruise control, air conditioning etc. The PIN could be between 4 and 20 numbers which makes it extremely difficult for thieves to guess or break.

Anti-Hijack
With high-tech thieves becoming more and more sophisticated, the security technology is continuing to change, that's why Ghost has created this subtle and non-obtrusive immobiliser. It is designed to stop thieves from adding an ignition key or replacing the ECU to start your car and drive it off. Ghost connects to your CAN network and uses buttons on your vehicle to generate a unique push-sequence that must be entered before the engine can start.
This will activate the anti-hijack mode and, once activated any attempt to start the engine will be stopped. The system will sharpen the horn and flash the indicators. It will also stop the vehicle in the event that the code cannot be found. By entering your push sequence, or entering service mode, you can disable the Anti-Hijack function. This allows your vehicle to be temporarily started without the need to enter the PIN.
If you have an GPS device that is connected to your BMW it could be used to disable the Anti-Hijack feature, allowing you to still use the navigation system inside your car when the vehicle is parked unsupervised. You can also use your smart-phone to control the anti theft feature and other functions.

The system lets you start the car by selecting drive and then quit the service mode without having to use your key fobs. You can also track your vehicle on the map in real-time using your smartphone.
The Ghost can be positioned on the dashboard or in the centre console. It is completely hidden, tamperproof, and does not require any additional wiring. The device is connected to CAN Data Network of the vehicle (similar to Ethernet cable) and a unique pin code is programmed into it. This pin code needs to be chosen before the vehicle is started. This prevents thieves from bypassing the system by using the cloned or replaced ECU.
If the vehicle is stolen, the Ghost will go into a service mode and shut down all functions until the PIN code is entered, or you can make use of the mobile app to disarm it.
